CHRIS MONETTE APPLETON

 

Chris Monette Appleton is a Southern California artist who paints and draws in a variety of mediums, including watercolors, oils, acrylics, pen and ink, graphite, and charcoal. Her primary focus is figurative work, but she also works from landscapes, still lifes, buildings, and other objects.

Chris was a fine art major in college, and then went on to work in many other areas including business management, art direction, marketing, advertising design, computer graphics, cartooning, and illustration, before returning full time to painting and drawing in 1995.

Chris studied fine arts at Art Center in Los Angeles; El Camino College, AA in Fine Art; California State University Long Beach; University of California at Los Angeles; The Art League School in Alexandria Virginia; and has studied with numerous nationally known artists in the U.S.
